Weebly’s ‘Like a Boss’ tour helps entrepreneurs and small businesses build websites

“Like a Boss,” an ongoing tour kickstarted by website building platform Weebly, has recently been helping hundreds of entrepreneurs and small business owners build websites.

The tour kicked off on April 4 in Nashville, and will go on to make 11 stops in a span of 10 days around the Southeastern United States. The goal is simple: to create 1,000 bosses in 10 days.

According to the Weebly website, there will be lots of activities in every stop, including live and interactive workshops that cover “everything from website-building basics to advanced eCommerce strategy and site creation.”

The announcement also added that there will be experts who will be available to answer questions on topics like email marketing and SEO, and help entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life.

On top of all these is a chance to receive $1,000, as well as free headshots from professional photographers and exclusive Weebly discounts.

As of posting time Weebly has already driven over 700 miles in six cities, and has made 556 bosses.

One of the people that was recently helped by Weebly is Sherrie Driver, a small business owner of The Cultured Pearl of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.

“I am my only employee I work from home,” she said, adding that her passion and interest in pearls grew after traveling to pearl markets in China. After a business strategy and Weebly website, her business started to grow.

“The platform itself is easy to learn, it’s almost like playing a game,” she said. “I have greatly enjoyed the surprise of getting and email saying, you’ve sold some pearls!”

The next stops will be Savannah, Georgia; Atlanta(Brookhaven), Georgia; and Atlanta(DeKalb), Georgia.
